Five Points Road is the evolution of the decades long friendship and song writing collaboration between Dwayne Jackson and Geoff Breen. Playing and creating music throughout the past 20 plus years Dwayne and Geoff have developed a writing style built on the early inspirations of their childhood listening to Gospel and Country and the Rock and Roll that consumed the 90s. Dwayne Jackson – Lead singer, co songwriter & rhythm guitar player for Five Points road. Dwayne has sung for many bands with music styles ranging from hard rock to gospel. Growing up in a musical family from Scarborough Ontario. Dwaynes Mom loved southern gospel while dad listened to country & bluegrass. Married, two kids & a Sheltie puppy, Dwayne would find his musical voice with the alternative grunge era taking inspiration from Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam. Currently listening to Brothers Osbourne, City & Colour Alan Doyle & Chris Stapelton Dwayne enjoys famiy, music (of course), long walks, writing songs and discussing philosophy with a friend over a pint
Geoff Breen – Bass player and co songwriter for Five Points Road. Geoff grew up in the suburbs of Mississauga Ontario. Performing in Church and eventually joining Hard Rock and Punk bands through highschool. The proud father of four and the owner of the music lesson studio Capstone Music as a multi instrumentalist, Geoffs first passion as long as he can remember has been songwriting. Geoff has established himself as a full time musician based out of his studio in Burlington Ontario. Performing and recording in a variety of musical scenarios, Geoffs influences are a diverse mixture of Metal, 80s New Wave, Classic Rock, Blue Grass and Gospel. Inspired by performers like Zac Brown Band, Brothers Osborne, Sting and KIngs X, Geoffs musical aspirations are to write as many songs as possible, sharing his stories of life, love, and struggle.
Emi K-Violin player for Five Points road. Growing up violin player, Emi thought that a straight path would lead her to a symphony orchestra. She spent half of her childhood honing her skills as a classical musician in long-established music institutions under the supervision of strict teachers. Emi was always impressed by the virtuosity of the great jazz violinists of the last century and jumped headlong into every opportunity to improvise with other professional musicians. She was greatly influenced by the crossover artists of the 2000s who dazzled the audience with their electric violins, so the first thing she did was to buy herself such an instrument with her first paycheck. In her free time she prefers to listen to country rock style music, so there was no question that sooner or later she would also dip her toes into folk style fiddling. In 5PR, Emi lets her imagination run wild and adds her unique flavor to the bands line-up.
Mark MacDonald-Guitar player for Five Points road. An acclaimed guitarist, versatile musician, and committed music educator based in Burlington, Ontario, embarks on his musical journey from early childhood. Initially self-taught on the piano, Mark swiftly transitioned to the guitar at age 11, drawn by the primal sounds of drums and the electric guitar’s power. Influenced by classic rock from the 60s and 70s, he developed a passion for rhythm and blues and jazz. From his teens as a drummer in rhythm and blues/jazz bands to becoming a guitarist for a touring country band at 19, Mark’s formal musical education at Toronto’s Humber College expanded his horizons. His diverse career spans from dive bars to stadiums, and after global adventures performing on cruise liners, Mark now resides in Burlington, focusing on music education. Mark’s musical style, a rich tapestry blending blues, hard rock, classical, and country influences, enriches the musical landscape, bringing a wealth of knowledge and skill to Five Points Road.
Marcello Oğ-Drummer/ Percussionist for Five Points road – Born in São Paulo Brazil, Marcello’s musical journey started at just 5 years old, and it wasn’t long before he began playing in church. By the time he was 16 he had recorded his first album with his band. This experience opened doors for him to record LPs, cassettes, and CDs for other artists and bands. Shortly thereafter, Marcello ventured into co-producing and around 1999, he expanded his skills to include the technical aspects of studio work, eventually becoming a Recording and Mixing Engineer. His career eventually took a turn towards television, where he has worked as a Sound Designer and Composer. To this day, Marcello continues to pursue both of these career paths simultaneously. After moving to Canada in 2017 Marcello connected with Dwayne Jackson in some of his music productions during the pandemic. This collaboration led him to connect with Geoff and Mark, which resulted in Marcello joining 5PR.
